چکیده
Abstract The compaction effect of extra-long prestressed high-strength concrete (PHC) piles in deep soft soil foundation was studied by field test. pore water pressure gauge, inclinometer were embedded different plane positions or depths the to monitor and deformation when driving pile. research shows that magnitude excess caused single pile installation is mainly related buried depth measuring point linear distance between tip point. shorter deeper is, greater installation. horizontal influence radius compacting on about 10.7 m. induced increases with depth, obviously affected stratum properties. In vicinity high permeability coefficient, such as thin sand layer silty fine layer, cannot be accumulated a large amount. existing subgrade restricts lateral PHC piles. small at top bottom, middle. inflection curve appears connection position. relationship given.

Modeling of vibratory pile driving
Vibratory installation of piles and casings can be extremely economical and therefore the contractors’ preferred method of pile driving. Compared to impact pile driving it also has the advantage of reduced noise pollution. Unfortunately, this installation method is still fraught with uncertainties. The foremost question is driveability and equally important is the question of bearing capacity o...
متن کاملObserved increases in offshore pile driving resistance
This paper presents 53 well-documented cases of the short-term set-up of open-ended steel pipe piles driven at two fields in the North Sea. Increases in soil resistance during driving (set-up) were observed when pile driving was re-started after delays typically ranging between 24 h and 100 h. The soil encountered at the sites consisted of overconsolidated sands and clays, where the clays varie...
متن کاملA computational method to predict and study underwater noise due to pile driving.
A hybrid modeling approach that uses the parabolic equation (PE) with an empirical source model is presented to study and predict the underwater noise due to pile driving in shallow, inhomogeneous environments over long propagation ranges. The empirical source model uses a phased point source array to simulate the time-dependent pile source. The pile source is coupled with a broadband applicati...
متن کاملAn efficient model for prediction of underwater noise due to pile driving at large ranges
Modelling the sound levels in the water column due to pile driving operations nearby and out to large distances from the pile is crucial in assessing the likely impact on marine life. Standard numerical techniques for modelling the sound radiation from mechanical structures such as the finite element (FE) and boundary element method are not well suited to predict the sound field efficiently at ...
